The opening session of the Conference will take place on Monday, 21 August 2023, from 10h00 -11h00 and will be addressed by the following invited speakers:

  1. H.E. Mr. Jin PARK, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea
  2. H.E. Ms. Izumi NAKAMITSU, Under-Secretary General and UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs
  3. Mr. Gilles CARBONNIER, Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
  4. Ms. Bianca PABOTOY, Gender and Disarmament Associate, Center for Peace Education - Miriam College (Control Arms)



The thematic discussion on the Role of Industry will take place from 11h15 to 13h00. The session will take the format of a panel discussion involving the following speakers:
