The side event will launch the ATT Monitor 2026 Annual Report, the flagship publication of the ATT Monitor project that takes stock of existing practice, creates greater transparency in how the Treaty is implemented, informs the work of the Conferences of States Parties to the ATT and intersessional meetings, and ensures accountability for Treaty commitments.

The 2026 Report includes: a thematic chapter on 'The Arms Trade Treaty and Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas: Considerations for Risk Assessment', an analysis of 2024 ATT annual reports, a preliminary review of 2025 ATT annual reports and new initial reports, and a series of country profiles that provide data on key reporting-practice metrics as well as a summary of good reporting practice and areas for improvement.

The authors of the report and different officials and ATT stakeholders will participate in the side event. The final list of speakers will be confirmed at a later date. A flyer will be also shared in due course.
